About Audrey

Audrey Richter is currently a project-based
dancer, choreographer, and instructor. She is
currently on faculty and staff at Purdance in San
Jose, California where she teaches in both
Children & Teens and Adult programs. She is
from Birmingham, Alabama, where she
graduated from the Alabama School of Fine
Arts Dance Department. Audrey holds a BFA in
Dance Performance from the University of South
Florida in Tampa, Florida. Notable
performances by Audrey include A Long
Journey Home
with Diavolo, the USF recreation
of Bill T. Jones’ Serenade/ The Proposition,
Talley Beatty’s Come and Get the Beauty of it
Hot
and as “The Chosen One” in Doug
Varone’s Sacre du Printemps.
Audrey’s professional credits include dancer
and resident choreographer for Collective Soles
Dance Company, OneLight Dance, DRIP,
and Adin & Ferguson Dance Theatre. She has
held many teaching positions including adjunct
faculty at Southeastern University, Florida
Southern College, and Blake High School
Theatre Department, summer intensive faculty
at Columbus Dance Theatre and Gulf Shore
Ballet, and director of the Collective Soles
Youth Ensemble. Audrey recently relocated to
California’s Bay Area, and is looking forward to
contributing to the already thriving dance
community.
